Title: Awaking My Love
by Craig from Cornwall | in writing, poetry, love
The morning bird chirps its orchestrated wake up call
to the tenants of your heart,
thunder claps its nervous cough
as you clear the clouds from your chimney throat,
a series of cherubs taking their turn
in gently raising your eyelids.
I love you more this morning
than I did last night,
but not as much as I will love you tomorrow.
