The sounds that I created are made of everyday components; ranging from bizarre noises I made with my mouth, to the rustling of jackets and scrunches of paper bags! I gave them an alien touch via editing them with applications GarageBand and Audacity. I found the first sound effect- the Krulius breathing- the easiest to create. It was made up of numerous clips of me breathing at different paces and volumes. They were then echoed and dubbed over eachother to give a smooth consistency, with an evil growl. I made it like that because the Krulius seems an easily angered character in the comic strip. The second sound of walking was very complex, made of the squelching of wet newspaper, books being dropped onto eachother, and the metal buckle on my belt being fiddled with. The wet squelching was included to create the sound of the artificial structure of the Krulius, made on a swamp planet, lurching about. The BioConverter was very difficult to create, because it had to have a mechanical, bleeping feel to it. To create it I altered my voice into a number of different frequencies and added some more clunking metal sounds. Enjoy!
