Title: I want it, I want it.
by Emily | in writing, poetry, funny
People are scurrying, no will of their own,
all rushing to buy that lastest Iphone.
Squandering money, their hard-owned cash,
just so that they can have new gadgets to flash.
Most of them break before they even get home,
wrapped in a bag, isolated and alone.
Oh look, they cry a new sony laptop is out,
"I want it, I want it" they scream and shout.
Then when they get it their satisfied for a while,
and on their face is a wide, open smile.
People aren't happy, they all demand the best,
all of them want it to play with and test.
But the hard-owned money all goes to waste,
for the companies bring out a new gadget with haste.
Yes indeed people have no will of their own,
when it comes it Ipods, laptops and a shiny new phone.
I wrote this in English after watching six people texting frantically away.
