Title: Roots of London
Image by Sean from Kent | in fashion, design & create, graphics/print
My inspiration for this design came after brainstorming the similarities that nature, particularly trees and urban architecture share, and after a while, I noticed one of the things that neither could live without - it's roots. Because obviously a tree has its roots and needs them for stability etc.. but realistically, so does London. London needs its underground complex of local transport to keep the city stable. Thousands of workers rely on the system every day to reach their workplace and without it, the situation above ground wouldn't be operating properly either. I used my design to show this by flipping the underground tube system and London's unique landscape to show that in reality, the underground is just as, if not more important than the urban landscape above.
