Inspiration for my design came from the idea of the pollution which is often related to the cities and urban areas. Much pollution is caused by generating electricity at power stations. Therefore my design includes the structure of a cooling tower which is a section of a power station regularly seen. I combined this image with the 'branches' part of the theme by giving the building roots and the base and winding branches. My design can symbolise two ideas: firstly how nature is swamped by pollution and secondly the similar shapes found in towns and the country yet the clash between what is natural and what is artificial. My design demonstrates the resemblance between what is man made and what is natural yet hints the damaging and destructing effects artificial objects have on nature.
