This year marks 30 years since the release of Sugarhill Gang's Rapper's Delight. To mark the occasion 1Xtra and Radio 1 are bringing you a weekend of the best in hip hop. Our contribution to the festivities is to track down some of our favourite hiphop stars from yester year that have dissapeared off the face of the planet. One hit wonders AND rappers who have just dissapeared without a trace. So Who are some of the "Lost players of Hip-hop" you'd like us to find.

So the latest strange fashion for men this year is the Mantyhose. A mantyhose is basically a pair of tights for men. Pantyhose designer Harisnya is behind the new craze and it seems lots of men are purchasing them but will they catch on? If you think about some of your favourite superheros all wear them (spiderman, Superman, Batman)

so why not??

We're back!! Shout out to Target for holding down the show and the Blog for the last week but your boys are back!!

Anywhoo...

Did alot of chillin last week but did manage to get out last friday night to see the legendary 90's RnB group JE aka Jagged edge perform in west London. Unfortunately only half the group turned up. The twins were apparently in Atlanta finishing off the 7th studio album while Kyle and Wingo were touring the UK as Jagged Edge. Anyway the 30% full club raved while we waited for the guys who wewre now 2hrs late (apparently they were fighting backstage) and the 2 minutes before I got fed up of waiting and was just about to leave the club. Kyle and Wingo get on stage. Now I was a big JE fan back in the day so I was surprised that they opened their set with a tune I had never heard before. They then got into their classics Lets get married which they destroyed by singing off key and FORGETTING THE WORDS (I kid you not!!) The rest of the set was much the same. Verses dropped, words forgotten cutting eachother up on stage and the finale Kyle just walks off the stage mid track.

It may have been the saddest show I've ever seen!!

WHATS THE WORST SHOW YOU'VE SEEN???

Thats right people, its the end of whats been an emotional week. We've had everything from the nations fave biscuits to some ridiculous pet names, to the best burper in the UK. LOL.

I've caught up with ghetts, who dropped a sick freestyle, I've also played you some wicked brand new music, and of course as it was friday, i had to drop a few mixes on ya!!!

And so, i hereby cordially crown myself, THE REAL TROUBLEMAKER of daytime radio!!!!
I've even got a trophy....Ace & Vis are FIRED!!!!!!!!!.....

Yes yes, Target here, still standing in for Ace and Vis, handling things strongly of course. The show today was large - the nation decided whats more important, face or body? We also heard all the action from Jackson announcing his "comeback and leave" performances. Listen here

Yo, its day 3 of the Target Ace & Vis Takeover!!!!

Today it was all about grime supremo Ghetts passing through the studio!
Was good to catch up with the top 3 selected MC and hear what he's been up to in and out of the studio!!
