Let it snow...

Hey Peeps,

Here I am with my second blog. What fun hey. Even despite the snow I have managed to write this. You see, for me all this snow has really divided the nation. Between those who have used it as an excuse not to bother doing anything and for those that have carried on regardless and felt like Sherpa Tensing! The best one I heard this week was someone who couldn't make it to work because their "big coat" was at the drycleaners. Love it.

Anyway the show must go on and I have to say my radio team really proved their worth this week. Even Sporty Sanj who made it in all the way from Nuneaton even though she has two little kids. I am not sure she was right in leaving the kids in the garden on the supervision of Uncle Snowman? Not sure he counts as a guardian Sanj.

Behind the scenes I have to say the biggest challenge has been motivating Wax. He doesn't actually officially wake up til 7am despite us all being in from 5! He needs feeding and a few hugs. I quite enjoy it, even though I end up getting crumbs everywhere. I'll film a little video next week so you can see it for yourself. Ìý

The best bit of the show for me was hearing about my adopted monkey -Ìý Nakumi (Nakima).

We phoned Nakumi in Malawi but sadly she was unavailable. Apparently, she's a bit apprehensive. I am really concerned though. I need to know, as any father would, what my little girl is up to? Who is she "hanging around" with? Is she eating well and does she have her hands on too many nuts? You can hear her best mate and other bestest bits from the show by downloading the podcast. Its really podtastic.

I am supposed to be going to Leeds this weekend butÌý am a bit worried I may get stuck in the weather en route. I mean, come on, have you seen Rotherham? Actually, there's probably nothing wrong with Rotherham - its just the way it sounds. A bit like Heckmondwike, Gravesend or Hull. Actually Hull is just a letter away from the worst place in the universe.

Next week is all about Love. I seem to go through these moments in my life when I feel I need to settle down and between you and me (please...) I am on the hunt for someone in the "business". I maybe wrong but someone in the 'medjaa' industryÌý may understand me better, no?Ìý Well, you can weep or laugh at the results next week on the show.

For now, I am off for shave and a sh..ower..After all, it is the weekend.

Love you all,

Adil
xx
