Hey there,
Bit of a bad start to the week. Today I kinda hinted that little Nakami, my adopted monkey (pictured below) may not be able to come over to the UK

It's Friday and I'm getting ready to host this massive charity gig with Jassi Sidhu at Second City Suite in Birmingham tonight. Need a new pair of jeans!
I have to say I'm flattered by all the lovely people who have become fans of my daughter on facebook.Ìý Thank you - it makes me so proud.
Today we spent three hours on air looking for a desi scouse football fan. Guess what? We didn't find one.
I haven't quite recovered. This morning I was surrounded by loads of Yummy Mummies for our coffee morning.
Hey you,
Today's show was a bit like the old days for me. When I did the late night show. We had a little sprinkle of live music. What a sweet sprinkle of icing on our nutty fruit cake it was.
Today I launched our Yummy Mummy Coffee morning. This Friday we're inviting all mothers to the studios in Birmingham for a pre Mothers Day chai. Would be great to see you or your Mum.

I'm on my way to Manchester to record a doc for Radio 4 which involves interviewing wives to be whilst they have sexy photographs taken of them.

The Monkey Man's Assistant has left me a voicemail on my other number. The problem is that half of its in German. I've got no idea what she's saying. It's all kinda foreign. Why? Nine I say Nine! Where's Nena and her 99 red balloons when you need her?
All in all not a bad weekend. Stayed in both Friday and Saturday night. Not bad hey? Staying in is the new going out! The best thing is you're up early the next day which is great when it's a bright sunny morning like yesterday. Ok ok...I am getting on a bit and starting to love the more calmer things in life. Yes I have swapped my Rolling Stone subscription for Reader's Digest. Have you read 'RD' recently. I had no idea you could have so much fun with a bedpan, thanks to their article - 50 things to do with your bedpan.

So last night was the UK Asian Music Awards. Not a bad night actually for a Desi event. I was gob smacked to find it actually started on time. I had the great privilege of presenting the Best Radio Show award to Bobby Friction. I had former big brother contestant Maysoon alongside me. Wow. She's lovely. I think our Mum's may need to meet.
Dear Friends,
I really need to find Michaela Strachan. Star of Hitman and Her, Wacaday, The Really Wild Show and Orangutan Diaries!
So it's another week of the show. This week we've continued with our vital bit of market research and discovered that the average amount of sugar BritAsians have in their tea is just less than one! Wow I hear you say...who would have thought it. Who would have thought that we'd be asking that on the radio?
