The last post...

Like many people I have struggled to tell my Bebo from my Bandcamp. I'm still not sure whether I need to be Linkedin or left out. I suppose what I'm trying to say is that social media and the ways we communicate with each other are constantly evolving.

I've been wondering for a few months now whether this blog is making the best use of your input into the show. I don't believe that it is anymore and with that in mind we have decided to close down this blog page

All social media moves on and develops and over the next couple of months there will be new ways to communicate via the ´óÏó´«Ã½ Radio Scotland website. The team feel that the blog has reached a point where the programme requirements, along with ways to communicate can be served better elsewhere.

We would still love to hear from you. We know most of you email, text or use our and sites so please continue to contact us via those options. You can email getiton@bbc.co.uk, find us on or , or during the show you can text 80295 or call 0500 92 95 00.

As always, you'll find details of the upcoming themes on our programme page on the ´óÏó´«Ã½ Radio Scotland website.

I know some of the regular contributors to this page already get in touch through some of these other options and I hope we can count on the rest of you to keep in touch. It's a struggle every night to fit in all the music asked for but I know I can rely on my production team to make sure that we try to represent all of our audience.

Name that song...

Thanks for all of your suggestions for what turned out to be a surprisingly tricky theme! We did get some good tunes though and Eddie Holman's Hey There Lonely Girl was outstanding.

Tomorrow's theme is songs that mention names so that could be anything from Hey There Delilah to Department S doing Is Vic There. Co-incidentally we played both those songs tonight so they won't be receiving an airing tomorrow. What will though? Over to you...

Here we go again...

The fact that Huey Lewis' Grandfather invented the waxy coating for Edam cheese is something that's going to stay with me for a long time. Thanks for all your fascinating nuggets that you shared with us tonight.

Tomorrow's theme could include Here I Go Again, There She Goes or I've Been Everywhere as, you guessed it, the theme is Here, There and Everywhere. Let's see what you come up with. Leave your sensible suggestions on the blog and hopefully we will find them hidden among the witty banter.
