Song for the dumped...
I have been stood up! Tragic I know, but I don't feel too bad as the guy I've been stood up for has been described as the 'handsome poster boy of nu-folk'. So there.
In this pic he actually looks like the Ziggy Stardust of nu-folk which is quite a concept to be dealing with.
Tonight I was supposed to have a 'hot date' with producer Kirsten to go and see Kate Rusby at Celtic Connections. She's now pulled out as she's got to work on Mary Ann Kennedy's Global Gathering instead.
They are doing another live show from the ´óÏó´«Ã½ foyer tonight and the star guest is the aforementioned poster boy, .His music is brilliant and his last album won lots of folk album of the year awards. I've been listening to it this afternoon and I love it.
If you miss the live broadcast tonight then stop by the Celtic Connections website as there will be audio and video clips on there over the next couple of days.
For me it's going to be a good night. Ok, I don't get to hang out with Kirsten or Kate but after my show it's just a strollÌý down three flights of stairs to enjoy a free gig from "...the greatest leap forward in folk for 30 years". All I have to do is getÌýKirstenÌýto keep me a seat and have a large gin and tonic ready for five past eight...

Judging by the comments, I'll check the playlist before I go to 'Listen Again'
