Next week's themes...
What will be the last song you'll ever have played? Wednesday's funeral songs show will be an interesting one. It's a topic that you've asked for a lot and one that I've steered clear of for fear of upsetting anyone. However I've been talked into it this week. I hope you'll feel able to share stories of your special songs as well as the final gestures that are bound to make us all smile.As always you can leave your comments on the blog, email or send a text or call during the show.
Monday:
Let's make beautiful music together as tonight's Get It On is all about the art of looking good....
Tuesday:
It could be a case of 'slow,slow,quick,quick,slow' as Rob in Edinburgh suggests songs which change tempo for tonight's theme...
Wednesday:
Funeral songs is a theme that many of you have been asking for so tonight is the night. Frank Sinatra's My Way topped a , but what would you want played at yours?
Thursday:
You're The One For Me Fatty. Glenn Miller is Born To Be Wild*. I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For. Tonight's theme is song titles that are sentences...
* Thanks DC!

'Born to be wild' is NOT a sentence. If the title had been 'Glenmiller was born to be wild', then it would be since it contains a subject ie the aforementioned Mr Miller.
And given #7, Mr Miller does indeed deserve a sentence...

The first one is Look Sharp. An album track so don't know if that one counts?
Then I'd like to put forward the single I'm The Man.
Good stuff the both of them.

I'd say the Joe Jackson track definitely counts. It's a good album - and there is also the Pretty Girls track as well.

TedFest 4 likely to be next February. If this year's anything to go by, there'll be a second sitting in March.

My suggestion of The Jam and Boy About Town would be a great track to hear as well.
