House music...
However if we do a night of cheating and heartbreak then we are overwhelmed with ideas. Maybe there's just more to write about or perhaps it's the way we look at things and it's in keeping with our national psyche? It would certainly explain why country music is so popular north of the border. Talking of country music, I thought both Cash and Elvis sounded great tonight. It's great to be able to include edgier material alongside the Sophie Ellis Bextors of this world.
Wednesday night is 'artists and songs you might find in the house' which was a theme originally suggested by Jan in Rutherglen. Mirror In The Bathroom and The Inspiral Carpets are on her list. Who might turn up in your house. Get in touch and let me know....

If you're not allowing rooms, it still counts. My boiler has a pilot light in it.
Jill Cohn Doormat from the soundtrack of Skins. Not something I've watched, but I heard the tune in passing one time. Really lovely. And our doormat is inside the storm doors, so technically speaking, it's in the house.
George Harrison While My Guitar Gently Weeps
Just about any song featuring musical instruments would do for this. Another "nul points" for Norway on the originality scale, but I don't care. I could go for George Formby but reckon there are probably more guitars than ukuleles per household.
Another two which are probably obvious - I'll let the rest of the blog come up with the clever stuff.

Closet songs. I don't know how many others have had the dubious pleasure of hearing/ watching R Kelly's mini masterpiece "Trapped In The Closet". Not quite sure what he thought he was at - don't like any of his stuff anyway, but this was mining another level of awful, even for him. Happily I can't single out any one of the "songs" for play as it's all a bit rambling and surreal.
