#20 MD you're right it's better, "new world.." is a nice hopeful sounding song, always good to hear. If there is a theme (see below) then this fits it.

I wish that a large number of tracks I often want to suggest for themes didn't turn out to be 6 minutes plus in length, as I then don't bother plugging them in the knowledge that they most probably won't get played...

I wish i could have gone to Godspeed You! Black Emperor but i managed to fall down a flight of stairs last night due to the level of ice on the steps so i wont be able to attend now. They are playing at the Barrowlands tonight. So my wish is for

This is most likely not a track you would normally play but it is different and its the first time in 8 years they have played and most likely the last :-(

Yep, I'm sufficiently long in the tooth to recall that winter weather wasn't thought newsworthy beyond the the weather forecast - which was an incomprehensible chart of lines of varying closeness/thickness and verbal technical mumbo -jumbo, a more complicated version of the shipping forecast.
