Careless Memories...
Ìý
Tonight's brilliant theme of 'songs that require a follow up' threw up many unanswered questions such as:
What happened when Ruby took her love to town?
Was there a riot?
So who shot the deputy?
Did they meet up in the year 2000?
Did they ever get their letter from America?
Is she really STILL going out with him?
However, I think my favourite was Ken in North Carolina's probing question, "Who had the nasty job of cleaning up on the tragic day when it was raining men?"
It's been a really enjoyable show so thanks to everyone who got in touch on Facebook, text and on the blog - We all love DC's idea of prequels which is mentioned elsewhere on this page.
Thursday's theme is memory so it's songs about remembering and forgetting please....

And seconds (again) for Van the Man's In the days before rock and roll. Anyone who ever had an old radiogram with all the stations on it will know exactly what he's talking about. Also Cleaning Windows is another great on theme Van Morrison song where he remembers his days before fame working as a window cleaner and playing gigs at the weekend, namechecking many of his influences at the same time.
