One of ma boys is a drummer. No' half bad, at that. In fact, fantastic. All that guff about drummers being the least musically talented (and dumbest) in any band is ... guff. Only because my son's one, naturally......Whatever John Lennon might have said about Ringo's relative drumming skills within the band (which may or may not have been true - I've never heard John playing the drums) Ringo's not exactly the benchmark for any aspiring drummer to compare themselves to.

The last time we had drums (or was it the time before?) the similarity was noted of both NtV and Cozy Powell's Dance with the Devil to the earlier Fakin' It by Simon and Garfunkel. Repeated themes, repeated choices, repeated comments.

'The Rat' by The Walkmen...not the best drumming in the world but the song's so energetic you can't help drumming, tapping etc along with it.
