Go wild... Go wild in the country!
Tonight was a joyous show celebrating two hours of sweet, reggae vibrations. Thanks for your selections as ever - you reacted in your droves, which was wonderful. Highlights included Max Romeo's 'War Inna Babylon', Althea & Donna's 'Uptown Top-Ranking' Augustus Pablo 'King Tubby Meets the Rockers Uptown' and pretty much anything by Toots & the Maytals is OK with me. Hope you enjoyed the tracks, whether you're already a fanatic or if it was an introduction to the music.
As we near the end of the week and put 'Get it on' to bed until next Monday when Bryan returns, my producers have graced us with an awesome theme for Friday night... 'Wild 'n' Reckless'! How good is that? Almost all great pop and rock music celebrates youth gone wild, especially the archetypal rockabilly, rock'n'roll, 60's beat, 70's glam, disco, punk and heavy metal... All in all, it's a very broad church of songs about girls, cars, drinking, fighting, dancing and more. It can't help but be fun, fun, fun...
It's the weekend and we all need to let our hair down and cut loose. Get your suggestions in and let's have a party!

Are you going to finish in a blaze of glory, a programme full of rockin' good songs that haven't been played on GIO before - you don't have far to look, the list's there already several times over - or will it be a tame set of 'popular tonight' where no-one's enriched other than by having a(nother) name-check.

and for the absolute antithesis of wild and uninhibited Norton by Mike McGear?
