Jack Dee and Bryan Ferry where on the same episode of The Jonathan Ross show in December 2002. Jack told the story when he saw Bryan's 'As Time Goes By' tour at the Royal Albert Hall 2 years earlier. He said Bryan said just before the start of one of the songs "and now for some cold water" and then the band started playing the intro while BF took a drink from him his water bottle. Jack Dee said this puzzled him and thought what a strange thing to say as BF says very little in between songs. He then realised later that evening that Bryan had said "and now for some Cole Porter" and went on to sing 'Just One Of Thise Things.
The 'As Time Goes By' album (nominated for a grammy and released a year before Rod Stewart decided to copy this formula 5 times over) contained 3 Cole Porter songs: Just One Of Those Things, You Do Something To Me and my favourite of them all that would be my preferance for 'Get It On' is 'Miss Otis Regrets'

I may be confusing the album "Cheek to Cheek" with another of his records, "Astaire".
I had whichever it was on a tape back in the day and never did know what it was called.
A closer look just now at his discography reveals two very similar recordings and tracklists. I suspect I had "Astaire".

#44 Glen, for your info:
Skellern formed a group called Oasis with cellist Julian Lloyd Webber, and Mary Hopkin The group released a self-titled album in 1984 on the Warner Bros. Records label which earned a silver record. The group performed live on television but a planned concert tour was cancelled due to Mary Hopkin becoming ill.
