Tomorrow's show is much more straightforward as all I want to know is what was number one on the day you were born?

I had never though about what was No1 on the day I was born, until I looked it up for this programme. It was Bill Halley and His Comets, Rock around the Clock. It actually went to No1 on the day I was born, 25th November 1955 and stayed there for 3 weeks.
Normal service will now be resumed, and we can get back to the Electric Light Orchestra

Much prefer Bill Haley - as a child I remember dancing around my mumu's kitchen to this as she prepared the evening chapatis, byrriani with tender chunks of chicken breast whilst banging away on her tabla whilst we waited for it to be ready.
O how we laughted...

'Beatles For Sale' and Bob Dylan's 'Freewheelin' were either side of the day I was born in the album charts.
It turns out Bryan Ferry has covered 2 songs form the Dylan album, 'A Hard Rain's A-Gonna Fall' and 'Don't Think Twice, It's All Right'
Would be nice to hear Ferry's version of 'Don't Think Twice, It's All Right' on Get It On.
