I found Tuesday night's show really interesting not because of what was played, but the range of the range and diversity of what never made it to the playlist, across all communication vehicles.
It seems an odd choice for tonight so they must have something really really populist lined up for Friday.
The following are guaranteed to release the inner disco boy in any routine henri:
First of all, huge 2nd for Roadrunner -Junior Walker & the Allstars - I would have picked this myself Gaie, but it's great, good shout.
Keep On Truckin' - Eddie Kendricks - 8:00 minute album version minimum required for soulful/funk ecstasy.
Space Shanty or Release The Pressure- Leftfield
In My Arms - Mylo
Fever - Sarah Vaughan - Adam Freeland Remix
Pop Music - M - Steve Osbourne/U2 Remix
Hyper Worm Tamer - Grinderman -UNKLE remix
Stay With Me - The faces
Jump Around - House of Pain
Pyjamarama - Roxy Music
The least danceable thing I've heard in a long time was that Ike & Tina version of Proud Mary. By the way, does anyone on this blog actually dance round the kitchen whilst making the tea? I mean, should you not carry out a risk assessment first? I don't think the ´óÏó´«Ã½ should be encouraging this sort of thing - they'll get sued, but I just plain don't believe it when people say they do this, least of all to Ike & Tina's Proud Mary.
It'll be a relief to Rikki, I'm sure, that Dignity (inevitable, but uncalled for last night: the difference between thematic and desired) has has been knocked off it's perch.
