I've raced in the Caley Challenge and done it before but as individual stages but never continuously, looking to do more long distance back packs.. St. Cuthbert's Way & Wainwright's Coast 2 Coast but from St Bees to Flamborough.

This week was Para Surfing again after several years but after a smashin' week I and others witnessed the worse thing imaginable this morning.

I've got one or two climbs I'd also like to revisit when I get home... Tryfan for some weird reason?

Not remotely boring - that's some amount of walking, looking forward to the diaries! 'Weird' to want to go to a particular place? - don't think so - some places just worm their way into your heart. Why else would I go to Rum year after year. Anyway, good on you, Madmac.

You're spot on Paul, nae flies on you 8-) However, I did see a Green Woodpecker in a small wood at the foot of the Kilpatricks once.

Anyhow, most of the doubting Thomas's I know have only ever seen one on a Saturday morning at the ABC Minors matinee... all together now "We are boys & girls...." ;-)

Mac, that seems feasible, there are Green Woodpeckers in parts of Scotland. I haven't seen one in Ayrshire for 30 years but many species are moving north. I saw a Nuthatch near Castle Douglas recently.
