I've listened to a few versions of Little Green Apples but think Bobby Goldsborough's version is best. Leapy Lee does a good version too. I can't remember who had the hit with it.

its definitely a 'green' song and a few nods to derek jarman who created something 'green' , beautiful and inspiring on the beach at dungeness.
if you've never been there , you should put it on your 'must do' list because not only is there the awesome sight of the highly visible iconic 'dungeness B' nuclear power station but its now surrounded by a 'wind farm' on romney marsh. how green is that?.........there's also a fabulous wee bird sanctuary. the whole area is totally 'green'.
