Agreed, impressive stuff - Mandi rockets into the lead. I made it 14 for tonight and since the highest score goes on the sheet, Mandi is begining to put some distance between herself and the others. Kirsten has a game in hand, though, so may close the gap.Tonight was particularly commendable since the show could easily have drifted off into the twee and sentimental but largely avoided that trap, playing a number of tracks that were anything but.

Just back from the Caro Emerald gig at the ABC - Wow!

Glasgow really loved Caro Emerald, two encores and they were still shouting for more.

Stunning musicianship, great voice, great presentation - they really love that elctro swing thing on the continent - great tunes, cleverly crafted production, each number a little movie scene of its' own - patiche maybe but what the hell, it was world class.

No one in the auduence could keep still - really enjoyed it.

We did hear the title track of Kate Bush's The Kick Inside a while ago. Every track on this album is a cracker.

As for tonight, let's wait and see. Whether the theme is good, bad, or indifferent, the important thing is the playlist.
