Have you seen the new Kaiser Chiefs album cover? Have you? Look at it!
Now, this is the ´óÏó´«Ã½, yes? We do fair and we do impartial and we do not slag things off with no good reason. So, you'll appreciate that when I say this is the RUBBISHEST ALBUM COVER EVER MADE EVER, that I'm doing so while holding back on what I REALLY think....
But don't worry, this isn't going to be one long rant about how the band all look like they've just got up, and could do with a running a comb through whatever hair they can find. Or that their heads look really oddly photoshopped together, or that Whitey's wink, such as it is, makes him look like he's got conjunctivitis or a black eye. Or that Ricky's face is possibly not as ugly as that in real life. Or that Simon's got more hair than that, surely? Or that there's FAR too much background...
...no, in the spirit of being helpful and kind, I've developed some alternative ideas to try and brighten things up a little. Look, here's a nice sunset...
Or, if you want something which literally depicts the album's title...here's an angry mob...

Or, to get past that whole grumpy face lineup thing, look! Here's a friendly clown! And the clever conceptual joke here is that people really don't like clowns, partcularly ones who play the violin, so the angry mob in the title are coming to GET HIM. But look at his face, does he care that he is about to have the makeup beaten from his face with a scouring pad? He does not. That's proper bravery, that is...

Now, don't let any of this affect your enjoyment of the band's new album, which is jolly good, and available in all good shops which sell it. But let's have less of this sort of thing in future, OK? I won't always be around to put it right...

Don't judge a book (CD) by the cover. I got the album today and it's blooming amaizing! CD's aren't to be looked at they are to be played dam it!
For some reason, it reminds me very much of Fleetwood Mac's 'Rumours'
It's a combination of the cream background and the facial hair, I think. Everyone wants it to be 1977 again, don't they?

Well yah I agree about the lame album cover but it is an awesome album which is the important thing. AND I AM GOING TO SEE THEM ON SUNDAY and I have seen them before and no, Ricky isn't that ugly in real life!

I COMPLETELY DISAGREE! I like the fact that they've gone for a simple cover...who needs all this complex crap on the front I mean all we want to know is what is the album called and who is it by not everything else when you get all that extra crap and fonts you can't read! And I HATE all them covers you came up with..except from the last one which makes sense but the rest are pathetic. DON'T JUDGE A BOOK BY IT'S COVER NOR AN ALBUM! I've bought the album and it's fab...maybe you should actually listen to it...

Hmmm i see what you mean about it being boring but what ever happened to simplicity is beauty??? i mean this way we concentrating on the music! The guys took long enough to work out what they were gonna call the long awaited album let alone give it a groovy cover we be waiting forever otherwise!!! I saw these guys live twice now and they absoloutely fantastic guaranteed awesome show!!! If you really wanna have a go at something what about the video for ruby i mean yeah pretty groovy makin a little city with your rock n roll sound but what couldn't they be bothered to do something interesting so they played it once in front of a green screen and then let some computer geeks do the rest???
There's enough of a rant for you though! The Kaisers are jut the best and they are all far better lookin in real life and just absoloutely p*** funny and fabulous!
