Bonjour Madames et Monsieurs. . .

Chris Evans | 08:31 UK time, Wednesday, 2 December 2009

17 drive homes together only left.

Up early - before five, writing away. If I can nail the first half of the second book before Crimbo that will set me up perfectly for a head start come the new year.

Other things to do between now and the holidays: get Mum a new bed (Xmas pressie), go to Judy's 50th - our lovely lady on reception, do Alan Carr's show next week, think of a dessert to cook on Something For The Weekend (13th Dec), meet the neighbours for a Christmas drink and talk about our shared appreciation of The Gurkhas, attend Sir Terry's farewell lunch and get ready for the Bye Bye Drive Time: Hello Breakfast O2 bash. . .

Oh and GET TASH'S PRESENT sooner rather than later !!!!!

Must scoot now.

Btw, Gino will definitely still win the jungle - although Simon is having a strangely winning effect on our household over the last few nights.

CLP.

    Simon? STUART!

Whatever - you're right Chris, Gino will walk it. What a lovely and very funny bloke.

I was also up working early to try and get some control over this pre-Christmas overload. Not long before I'll be collapsed in front of the Queen's speech with a large glass in one hand and a turkey leg in the other. Can't wait.

Have a good day everyone. I've got a toughie coming up today. Wish me luck.

    Lots of love. xx

Chris, I am so looking forward to Book II. One thing's for sure, your life has been owt but dull.

And dying to know what you've got planned for Tash for Crimbo. Was in fits of giggles the other night when you and Foxy were discussing it without giving anything away. Great stuff.

MTF/Bids - yes I will definitely take some pix of this ere office once it's been Deev'd and bung 'em on FaceAche.

Daffy, ne'er mind moosh. The day is young and nights can be late so improvements are bound to follow.

For now .... music, lights and shiny things are the order of the day.

Me likes shiny things, very very muchly

Christoph, having finished your book a few weeks back, and as someone has already said, can't remember who, I also eeked out the last few pages cos didn't want it to end. So I am really looking forward to the next chapter of your life.

Reet after buying up Guildford yesterday, I have a spare bed resembling Santa's grotto, so going to get stuck in, sort it and get it wrapped. Well that's the plan! Now first and foremost, where's the kettle?

pants trip home last nigth and pants trip in this morning - those trains have a lot to answer for!

Deev - I'm blaming you - was looking at a cetain website for secret santa presents yesterday and accidently bought some fairy USB lights for my monitor! Also - in true 80's retro style - I bought a MP3 player thats shaped like a tape and only holds 60 mins of music - so mr bp is getting a proper mix tape (but electronic) for christmas

Just asked mr bp if on couples night (the one night a week that is just for him) we get to stick up the christmas decs at home - the answer was not postive

    Morning Chris and Bloggers,

Chris - Sounds like you're going to be busy, enjoy. I need to start getting my head around presents!

GeeDeeSea - Chris Moyles may have written his book in only a week - nuf said!! There is no comparison between our Chris and the Radio 1 version. The minute CM took over the Radio 1 Breakfast Show, I switched to Radio 2 and have never looked back.

Deev - I'm choosing a Candy Cane today. Now my theory was that I would choose whatever was behind my chocolate advent calendar when I opened it. This morning was a snowflake, so I would have been right had I opened that one yesterday - confused you will be!

Rips - #283 on the other side, you cheeky boy you ;) Sorry you are still feeling poorly, sending a gentle hug to you xxx

Mornin' Christoff. As Bingo would say, Whatta coincidence!!!

A new bed is exackly what I'm gettin' for Renee, and boy am I havin' to psyche meself up for it.

I have suggested we order the thing on line or I'll go sort it out but she's adamant she wants to go round every bed shop in the North-West, torturin' an' bamboozlin' the poor assistants to within an inch a their lives, an' plonkin' 'erself down with a thud on every bed, thumpin' 'em like she's trapped an angry ferret therein, an' leppin' up an' down in a way she'd never dream of in the privacy of her own bedroom. While I stand there, arms folded, sayin' "Look. I've 'ad this for 54 years. You can stand it for 20 minutes."

And lord help us if any of 'em get ambitious an' suggest one a them remote-controlled beds that unpredictably spring to life, nearly projectin' 'er mate Joan right out the window an' into the garden right in the middle a Midsomer Murders, then almost immediately folded back on itself, leavin' 'er fumin' an' roarin' for the window-cleaner.

Am not goin' there. Oh no. Besides, the next-door neighbour has a pacemaker, am not bein' held accountable when she interferes with it, tryin' to change channels with the remote.

    By the crin.

Any road up. Now then. This dessert conundrum. Hows about the chocolate mayonnaise cake wit a nice dollop a custard. Not for the noncy feint-hearted, sticks to the ribs that one. Oh yes. One mouthful a that an' yous'll look like one a them Galapagos turtles at ruttin' time.

I tried to explain to my 7 year old the other day that when I was his age we only had 3 channels to watch on tv and that some programmes used to be in black and white. He looked at me like I was from Mars! But he does like Rainbow...lol...
I now have a break from recs as temp lady boss (that's temp boss, not temp lady btw) has asked if I will look at some invoices - just the 482 of them then...thanks!

    Afternoon,

Ok two bosses down, none to go. First boss came in for a couple of hours while we went through things and had a chat. Then Second boss came in unexpectedly for all of 20 mins. Quick rush through the diary and he was gone! Probably won't see either of them again for a couple of weeks.

I might have to get into the Christmas spirit here at work and put up our teeny tiny Christmas tree and a bit of tinsel. Colleague is going out soon, so it will be a surprise for him when he gets back.

I had the same birthday as my Grandad (well its still the same day but as he is no longer here he doesn't get to celebrate it anymore) but every year on the day I raise a drink for him
