Blackpool Tower, Stoke, Tiger Bread.

Chris Evans | 11:46 UK time, Thursday, 1 September 2011

Migraines and the now thankfully closed football transfer window. Plus much, much more.

Just another show at the start of another day. What to talk about, what to leave out, and who knew Bobbie Pryor - in with the travel for Lynn off on her jols at the moment - wouldn't give Gorgeous George (Clooney) a second look?! She's not interested for a second.

Sue Johnston is our guest tomorrow discussing, amongst other things, her autobiography - Things I Wouldn't Tell My Mother. Can't wait. Tune in or miss out.

Peace and love.

    Hello Pen & Ali.

Pen-Sue Johnson is indeed a great actress and a very interesting person.

Ali-I also remember Chris saying in his column that George was sitting at Chris & Tash's usual table at the restaurant. What do you have to say about that Chris?????

    PS Apologies!

CB, We sometimes watch the Royle Family on G*ld. Still better than some of the rubbish on, ie CBB, who watches that c**p?

George doesn't do it for me either, but then at my age, not a lot does, haha!

    Have a great hollibob.

    Hi AliB

Me too re Brookie, I was bereft when it ended! Bring it back I say, it would knock spots off the shouty soap, which I haven't watched for a couple of years now. How it wins all the awards, is beyond me.

    Afternoon each

tiger bread - yum! Stoke - never been..ditto Blackpool! But George Clooney yes please!

And to add to the man fest i definitely need to add Daniel Craig to the list.. love him as James Bond but seeing him in leather chaps and tight tweed trousers in his new film last night has whetted my appetite even more! Even if you dont like cowboys OR aliens(see what I did there?!) go see the new film just to swoon.....!

Had the most lovely day off yesterday..spent the morning at the turkish baths with Flower and then we did ladies wot lunch at the famous tea rooms in Harrogate. A spot of shopping afterwards then Flower departed to York and I to home. Mum and sis called for a brew then the GM and I went to see the aforementioned film and for tea out too. The best day off I`ve had in ages.

Ali - good luck with the catering my dear... good on you I say and I`m sure it will be the best buffet ever!

Penny loved the Royal family at chr****as, we were away but we still watched it, the comment about the next door neighbour having no intention of dying as she had just purchased a diary for 2011 made me choke. My other half still giggles at it now. I dont know how Sue keeps a straight face on that programme it is so well written.

I am looking forward to the rest, just looked at the weather for the next 7 days and it is hitting the 31's so I think it may just be warm enough for us.

  • Comment number 14.

CBird..have a fab holiday! And carboots are fabulous..we have literally now run out of things to sell though we have done so many! Its paid for a few days away here and there though!

And Pen - also love the Royle Family.. and you are never to old to swoon my dear!

Teeny grandson is doing well - he only woke once last night and they managed a trip to the High Street today, so everyone is well. xxxxxx

    Evening all

What is it about September and the C word getting far too many mentions?! It's been mentioned at the grindstone a couple of times in my hearing today. I might have to start a swear box system...

In case anyone was wondering Tuesday night went quite well with my two appointments. Lost the match despite a good start, but made it to the reception in time for the buffet and fireworks :) Tonight I will have an earlier night and try to catch up on some of the kip I missed to be at both places!

Looking forward to hearing the Candyman tomorrow, this week feels like it's been a long one even though it hasn't. Must be lack of kip! No chance of getting caught up over the weekend, I'm off to celebrate a 40th birthday and explore the area while I'm there...

Hugs to all (and an extra one for Keith)

Nothing big as she's been there before ,but really pleased for her as she lost one of her sons three years ago in a very tragic accident ,it's been a long hard raod for her.

Right it's that time of day when I shoudn't be sitting here so..Off I go....

    Morning all!!!

sun is shining here again today, had a lovely little trip out yesterday, still working out how to get the photos from phone to FB - and is it just me but can anyone else not actually see the screen on the phone (android type) when its bright? I was just "pointing and clicking" and actually some turned out OK!

Think I'll stay home today and tackle "the grass" - GD has not cut it for a few weeks and its looking like a jungle - so I'll be mostly screaming and dodging frogs later.....

happy aniversaries & birthdays to peeps and relatives - you too Tiggs!

Right time for a coffee I think,
    Happy Friday everyone
