This Sunday evening we're airing a special documentary on Newcastle United's and his high street sportswear business.

As well as looking at how the tycoon rose to be one of Britain's most successful sportswear retailers I go undercover as my investigation follows the Sports Direct supply chain all the way back to where workers are paid around one pound a day for a twelve hour shift.

There are also some interesting revelations about the behind-the-scenes goings-on during his time at the helm at St James' Park.

Mike Ashley declined to take part but when we put the points made in the programme to him his spokesman wrote to us saying that they "contain statements and claims that are inaccurate and misleading." He added "neither nor would be making any commment but would be watching the programme closely."
