The Inside Out office is a little bit calmer. After getting the last show on air last Monday we are now tidying up all the loose ends.

In sporting terms we've crossed the finishing line and are now in the changing rooms clearing up the sweaty kit. In fact that analogy is not too far off the truth. Several of the team are keen runners and dash out at lunchtimes only to return spattered in mud.

I think their urge to be first back first in the office is down to the fact we only have one shower and you don't want to be last in that queue.

As I write we are turning our attention to stories and ideas we could investigate for the next series. We don't have a return date yet so that makes it a little difficult to plan right now. On the other hand we can do some blue skies thinking - I fear some team members may think this means planning a holiday destination, but the boss will soon put a stop to that!

I have been given a special project to work on which should keep me busy. More on that in a later blog.

I aim for each blog during the off-air season to have at least one quirky element.

"He who returns from a journey is not the same as he who left"
