Weekend fun as winning run continues

Well, if anyone had anywhere near as good a weekend as me, you will be in great spirits this week!

There's not a lot I'm able to say on Annan's great result at the weekend, except to say I wasn't missed in the slightest.

In fact, I've even heard that the boys are chipping in to send me away on another trip!

Winning ways and warming the bench

I was sitting watching on Saturday night after our first win in eight matches when my girlfriend, Laura, asked me what kind of things the manager says in his team talk.

So, without giving away any secrets, I'll let you all have a wee insight into how we stopped the rot.

I managed to hang on to my place against East Stirlingshire last Wednesday but another defeat, amongst other things (I'm saying nothing) left me worrying about leading the team out against Albion Rovers a few days later.

Testing times for Annan

Each time I log on to the ´óÏó´«Ã½ website I often see the advertisement for Gavin Strachan's blog and I clicked on it this week to read how amazed he was at the talent on show at the Emirates at the weekend.

I was about to organise my things for tonight's trip to East Stirling when I flicked the TV channels over and realised the Arsenal-Wigan game was live.

At that point I wondered if Gavin was watching the same game because I'm sure he would have been equally impressed at the way Arsenal comfortably defeated a very experienced Premier League side.
