There can be nothing more frustrating for a footballer when you are training all week only to find yourself sitting on the bench or in come Saturday afternoon.
No matter what level you play at, if you're serious about your game it's a nightmare when your name's missing from the manager's starting eleven.
What's worse is knowing you're not going to be playing even before the team is being read out and that's exactly the situation I find myself in at the minute.

The frustrations continued again at the weekend with our home after an early morning pitch inspection.
By all accounts the referee carrying out the inspection was on the line at the Airdrie v Spartans Scottish Cup tie and made the decision at 10am before travelling up for his match.
Now I'm not sure what the rules and regulations are for these types of decisions but we certainly felt the pitch would have been playable by the scheduled 3pm kick off.
