brought our six-match unbeaten run to an end and has left us with a bit of a mountain to climb if we are to get ourselves in to a play-off place.

With only nine games left, it's going to be very difficult to make it in to that top four. Prior to Saturday's defeat, everyone at the club was well aware of the importance of the next three fixtures.

I read in the press that our chairman was looking for a maximum of nine points from those games but I think our performance showed that we should still only be looking to our next game and not beyond.

After Saturday's , I was really looking forward to writing my blog this week - until I remembered we still had to face league leaders Livingston beforehand.

I was a little worried about our recent good work being undone, but I needn't have worried; the lads are playing with self-confidence right now and it's showing during games.

I don't think I noticed it too much last year because I was so far out of the picture, so it was the same old thing for me most weeks. But, now that I'm playing, it's incredible how things change in and around the club depending on results and performances.

There are obviously different people coming to watch our games now from when we were in the , as well as the supporters who have been watching us for years, and I think expectations are sometimes too high.
