RachelMy Second Blog by Rachel Elizabeth Jones of Kidderminster

It’s Sunday, we’ve been here for 4 days or is it 3?…anyway and I’ve just realised I haven’t written anything. So, I’ll write now, whether it’s interesting or not is another matter. Probably not.

If you listened to the show on Friday you’ll realise we are staying in the middle of nowhere. The best way to describe it is like a small holiday village, but with chalets and not caravans. It’s all very quaint and idyllic, I think my Mum would like it a lot. Lots of fields, horses and flowers and that kind of thing. It couldn’t be anymore different than the dizzy heights of London (which is where I live), but I’m growing to really like it here.

So, it’s all so far so good. England have won a game, now we just need to keep winning. Had a slight trauma yesterday. On Friday I managed to con someone to give me a ticket for the match. Thing was the ticket was in London. It was organised to be couriered to Frankfurt where I’d then collect it from a hotel. How exciting! I really didn’t expect to get to go to a match. Got to Frankfurt, the tickets hadn’t arrived. So we waited…and waited…applied some suncream (because it was hot) and waited…and waited. Eventually I got a call. The tickets had gone to Cologne. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaagggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhh….that was how I felt! I had a ticket with my name on for the match and couldn’t go. Slightly gutting, but I suppose these things happen. I ended up watching the match in a Mexican bar in the company of Executive Producer Rhys and Chappers. (Who spent probably more time staring at the barmaids than actually watching the match – how rude!).

Today is what we call a ‘down day’. Got a few things to make sure are ready for the show, but it’s hot and I plan to sunbathe. Expect the next set of photo’s online to feature me looking like a lobster.

Over and out….Rachel x
