There has been a delay in updates for the website again, as all but one of us has been up the mountain/ I have returned early this afternoon, as I am afraid I only made it up to the base of the ice fall. The height at this point is just shy of 7000m. Hopefully, eight of the team wil be setting off to summit tonight at around 2am.

Hi Kay,
I sense you are a little disappointed in not being able to progress further up the mountain. I can understand this, but to attain this height is still a great achievement. It is important your readers understand the effort that is required to climb at this altitude, particularly if there are technical sections to overcome as well. It seems the Cho Oyu expedition has already proven worthwhile in many ways, if the team can achieve the summit, it will be the icing on the cake. regards, Geoff

FANTASTIC NEWS!! WELL DONE TO THE SUMMITTERS and to everyone who tried very hard in awful conditions to get there too. Your achievements are tremendous and you are all to be applauded. Many people already have lots to thank you all for and hopefully your research will help many more people in the future. CONGRATULATIONS to you all on a brilliant achievement.

Many CONGRATULATIONS to all of you on getting so many of the team to the summit. What an achievement, especially when we were hearing of the awful weather conditions.
Kay, don't be disheartened, 7000m is still a great personal achievement, and all that you have done in helping other teams must be a real boost to you.
