"There are great conceptual gardens at Hampton Court this year; I was on the selection panel so you'd expect them to be good!
I would say that the show gardens have been judged fairly. What a year for Nick Williams-Ellis with the , gold and Best Courtyard Garden in Show at Chelsea and now the Tudor Rose here, brilliant, I love it, there's so much detail.
I've spent a lot of time in the Growing Tastes marquee eating raw garlic, cooking Thai and making English salads, I've picked up some great tips for the allotment."

I loved the Conceptual Garden with the mirrors and trees until I looked in my own garden and wondered how many birds would break their necks trying to fly through the glass!!

The nicest people who, when you lose you phone and camera, as they have fallen from you pocket, track you down and arrange to return them - complete with all the inspirational photos that would have been devastating to lose.
If you do, say a big thank you to them, I never doubted I wouldn't see them again, once I had worked out where I must have lost them.
Despite the rain a wonderful experience, although the TV coverage in the sun did make it look different. The weather was a tough test of whether a garden really did look good in all weathers and one or two didn't pass the test.
