Top ten bee plants

Post categories:

Production team | 15:24 UK time, Friday, 29 May 2009

This week's hot topic is vineyards and if all goes to plan Joe is hoping to have a fully operational Chateau de Greenacre in the autumn!

Another hot topic is the fast approaching British summer. We're all hoping for a long overdue dose of sunshine - with a moderate amount of rain - especially to get those Dig In vegetables growing. How is everyone getting on? My shoots seem to be growing very rapidly!

On tonight's programme the team will be creating a bee's paradise with a border full of the top bee plants. So to save you jotting it down, here's a list of the top ten bee plants

  1. 1 Agastache
  2. 2 Ajuga, Bugle
  3. 3 Cirsium rivulare 'Atropurpureum'
  4. 4 Echium
  5. 5 Echinops, Globe thistle
  6. 6 Erysimum 'Bowles's Mauve', Perennial wallflower
  7. 7 Monarda, Beebalm
  8. 8 Sedum
  9. 9 Tanacetum coccineum, Pyrethrum
  10. 10 Verbena bonariensis

If you want to know more information about bumblebees, why not visit the Bumblebee .

Thanks to everyone who's been posting images onto our Flickr group, do keep them coming as they may make their way onto the show!

Finally, keep posting messages about your gardening What's hot and what's not - there's a possibility they could be featured on the show too.

Enjoy your gardening weekend
