Penpont walled garden

Alys FowlerI managed to bolt out of Birmingham for the shortest of short breaks, one night camping at Penpont, next to the river Usk in Wales. The weather was good, a little drizzle but good bursts of sun and the water was cold but the swimming good. The best bit though was the walled vegetable and cut flower garden on the farm where we were staying.

Pot grown henryi lilies

Toby BucklandI've been planting pot grown henryi lilies in my garden, at home, to add extra height and colour amongst the dahlias and replace the gray foliage of poppies before their seed sets and falls.
