Should you change the title of the blog to 'Graham Smith's England' perhaps?

I have a theory about this one, for whatever reason and without any real coordination, the electorate seems to balance their voting across elections. Whether to signal their disapproval of the ruling party, or to insure checks and balances betweeen different tiers of government I am not sure.
In this case, simultaneous to the general election the above was clearly not the case, perhaps because people vote for the best candidates or with their party loyalty rather than for or against the current executive as they do in general elections.
