Cornwall anti-cuts campaigners in London

Graham Smith | 19:00 UK time, Sunday, 27 March 2011

Three coachloads of Cornwall's public sector workers and their families made the trip to London for yesterday's anti-cuts demo. The first coach left Penzance at 2am. Stuart Roden, from Unison, thinks there were about 1,000 protestors from Cornwall in total. None saw any trouble. The photo shows a group of Unison members from the Royal Cornwall hospital, Truro, on Westminster Bridge.

They look a nice bunch of people. On their long coach journey they could have devised a plan to help Marie Antoinette solve his problem.

For every £650 he spends, he only raises £500 in revenue. So he borrows £150. Of the £650, £40 is interest on the money we have already borrowed. I say we, altho' of course, it was Unison's man Gordon who borrowed it. Under MA's current plan, in 4 years time we will be borrowing about the same, but £70 will be interest.

Answers on the back of an envelope please.

    Socialist troublemakers.

Typical civil servants, taking time out at our expense to try to demand we the public keep them in clover.
