Failed Isles of Scilly link wasted nearly £4m

Back in May, Cornwall Council said it had spent more than £700,000 in pursuit of its "Option A" for the redevelopment of Penzance harbour. The council has now published more details:

"Overall the IOSL scheme has cost £3.850m, this is funded from £1.317m
of third party funding and £2.533m of Council funding."

    The perfect metaphor for Cornwall council’s mentality towards public funds, but lets not forget a professional protestors not even living in the area was allowed to stir up a hornets nest, helped by the media given him an advantageous voice over local residence, lessons need to be learnt to prevent this common Saga when considering local issues
