Time for the Old Firm to go away

For the good of Scottish football, Celtic and Rangers must now be helped to leave for England.

In fact they should be actively encouraged.

It would be a win win situation, benefiting both them and the clubs left behind.

Assessing the SPL season

It was to be expected that one of the Glasgow giants, with their overwhelming finacial superiority, would triumph again this season.

The Celtic board must keep faith with Neil Lennon.

Despite , and the squeals of more histrionic Celtic fans, Lennon deserves more time to complete the job he has started, whether his team wins the title or not.

In his first season in charge he is still in contention to win the SPL and the Scottish Cup.

Not bad for a rookie manager.

Dunfermline will be a welcome addition to the SPL

Dunfermline Athletic's return to the is great for Scottish football.

The Pars are a wonderful old club with a fine footballing history.

They also have the potential support to match that history, as the proved.

The side which Jim McIntyre has built will, once a few key areas have been strengthened, hopefully prove a welcome addition to the top division.
