I have to admit that the passing of Troy Kennedy Martin this week, totally unnoticed by the ´óÏó´«Ã½, seems a shame. As the writing genius behind Z-Cars, Edge of Darkness, Reilly: Ace of Spies, The Sweeney and the timeless film The Italian Job, he was an icon amongst British screenwriters. I feel at least this body of work should have merited a cursory obituary, if not a re-run of Edge of Darkness on TV as a tribute to this man's great work.
