A massive project has started in Stroud to replace a canal bridge in the centre of the town.

The bridge will be between the roundabout at the western end of Dr Newton's Way and the double mini roundabouts at Merrywalks, as part of the Cotswold Canal restoration project.

It means the Merrywalks canal bridge will be closed until the end of November. A new temporary bridge has been opened in its place.

You can see a feed of traffic in the area and of the plans.
