Producer Helena and I have just come back from an exclusive music industry only BBQ & listening party for Sean Paul's new album "Imperial Blaze". If you were you would have got up to the minute play by play updates at the party including the strength of the rum punch (very strong) and the quality of the BBQ (it was all about the grilled veg).
Once the album playback was over (very strong Sean Paul album - don't expect him to have reinvented, the wheel just expect a very solid well produced Sean Paul dancehall album that is far better than his last), Producer Helena and I went over to meet the man in question and have a chat...however it seems that Mr 'Dutty Rock' took a shine to Helena. Check this:
Just for fun - what do you think Sean Paul's saying to her?

I think the video speaks for itself!
If you want some MistaJam bars on your music to make it hotter, holla at me!
A couple of months ago, my girl Annie Mac asked me to do a mini mix for her show and being a big fan of Annie's Mash Up from day (shout out to the crew who used to listen on Thursday nights too) I jumped at the chance! If you're not familiar with the mini mix concept, it's where Annie gets some of the biggest DJ's, Producers and Artists to come up with a 5 minute mix. No rules to it, just big tunes in the mix for 5 minutes. The likes of Grandmaster Flash, Justice, DJ Zinc and many more HUGE names have done the mini mix over the years and it's also one of the ´óÏó´«Ã½'s biggest podcasts so you know the pressure was on!
To do it justice, I decided to do my mix on the computer - you should know by now that I can get busy on the ones and twos but in order to execute my ideas easily and quickly, I opted for the computer programme that most dance music DJ's use in clubs and most people use to put together the mini mixes...unfortunately, I've never used the software and had no idea where I could go to learn it! I tweeted an SOS and garage legend MJ Cole came to my rescue. After an afternoon in his studio learning how to use the software and a sleepless weekend putting together the mix, Annie Mac gave it a spin last friday and has put it up for FREE download via the link below.
You have until Friday 5th June to get your hands on it by going here and downloading it.. Tracklisting after the jump.
