Hi Murray, really enjoying having you back and giving us your opinions on a regular basis.

I would like to know your opinion on Lewis Hamilton, a talented driver there is no doubt, but someone who in just over 2 years in F1 has seen a lot of controversy. I am getting more and more convinced everytime that he is not just picked on because of a supposed FIA favouritism of Ferrari (according to the media) or a victim of circumstance. Do you believe Lewis is responsible for his own downfalls or is he victim of circumstance?

With news that Dave Richards is also thinking of reentering F1, I was wondering if there is a limit to the number of teams that can participate in an F1 season? With the improved racing I would vote for as many as possible, but I guess there are pit lane limitations.

Hi Murray, what do you see as the future of the two Ferrari drivers? Raikkonen seems to be droppping off the pace, almost like hes no longer interested in the sport. Despite Massa's improvement last year, do you see him as a long term fixture? And what of Alonso?

Can you clarify a question that's been bugging me all week regarding Parc ferme conditions.

A quote from the F1 website regarding PF rules.

"Modifications to other parts or suspension set-up will require the driver to start from the pit lane."

So how did RedBull manage to 'fix' their drive shaft problems on Saturday night? Quoting Seb himself,

"The mechanics fixed a problem with the driveshaft overnight and the cars ran faultlessly throughout. In qualifying we did a good job but nevertheless we were struggling a bit with the reliability, but we we're able to fix it overnight"

Why do you think it's OK to use phrases like 'is he going to play the white man and move over?' when commentating live on TV?

I don't really get your idea on the points system. You say the current one should be abandoned because it doesn't reward wins enough (and quite rightly) but the 12-10-8-etc system you've brought up would surely encounter the same problems given that there are still only two points separating first and second places. I personally feel a 12-8-6-5-etc system would work best but I am not in charge :-D.

Anyway, my question concerns the possible two tier system that Mr Mosley has in mind. Do you think it is right for there to be one set of rules for teams who employ a budget cap and another for teams who decide not to?

I personally think this is untenable as Formula One is based on the idea that there is one set of rules for teams to play with. I am in favour of a budget cap, though, as I would like to see more private teams involved and the more innovative teams winning rather than sheer muscle winning the day (and I say this as a Macca fan).

On the subject of female drivers, Sebastian Buemi's cousin Natacha Gachnang is entered in the new Formula Two championship that starts on 29 May. She finished third in Spanish Formula 3 last year, although she didn't win a race.

Of course family relationships don't mean a lot - look at Ralf Schumacher...

Female drivers might be helpful in that on average, women are smaller and lighter than men. Some of the current F1 drivers are suffering in that regard, particularly Kubica with the KERS system.

A question - would Michael Schumacher have been hung, drawn and quartered by the media if he had done the things Lewis Hamilton has done?

Another question - would F1 be better off being run by professionals rather than by Bernie who, let's face it, is only interested in money and his own interests?

Just a quick question, To spice up the racing and let the lesser teams see what it's like to run at the front, why not reverse the grid positions, like they do in Touring Cars, and make them carry sucess ballast? so the faster guys start at the back then have to race to get back up to the front in the next Grand Prix, do you think this would work?

The comment about experiences with women made me laugh, good to see the twinkle in the eye is still there!

In answer to your views on female racing drivers, perhaps it would make more sense from a marketing and racing point of view to create an all-female team. Do you think a team run by women engineers, mechanics, designers and then two female racing drivers could work?

Female F1 Drivers , 5 if i remember rightly. lella Lombardi being the most successful in the late 70's. There were about 2 or three after her , upto the early 90's. The excuse was always put down to the strength needed to steer the cars ( no power steering in them days ). Today though , with the current cars , I cant see any physical or otherwise reason why we cant have more female drivers , as Murray says , sponsors would be falling over themselves.

After witnessing the unpredictability of the 2009 season already do you think there is any chance of my beloved Williams Team winning a race this year? And what do you think are there chances of ever winning ant World Titles in the future?

Ok the general jist of this article means that the reason why there are no female drivers is because the teams know that they'd have to eventually let the female drivers reverse park into the pits.

Enjoyed the film and agree mostly with what you said. I would also like to see an extra point for the fastest lap and the pole.

I would like to se more of a gap for the winner 12,9,7,5,4,3,2,1. this would also give the podium a gap over 4th.

Nice to see LH top in the first practice, not sure what that means for qualy but good to see.

Thank you yet again for another fantastic video.
I believe I have now tracked where you're filming. There's not many clues in the first two q&a sessions, but this latest one features an open top bus, a monorail and a sign saying "James". I can tell you that the James is followed by "Bond" and you are at Beaulieu Motor Museum in the New Forest. Would I be correct in saying the others were in the gardens of the museum's grounds?
Good choice of location as it relatively quiet, has great motoring history and as the village is rightfully named, it's a beautiful place.

After watching the Friday and Saturday practices for the Bahrain Grand Prix it was excellent to see the field covered by just less than 1.5 seconds. I remember seasons past (1992 sticks in the mind) when drivers dominated and the first 3 where covered by 1 second never mind the whole field.

Anyway my questions would therefore be this. Seen as the field has closed up together would it not be a good idea to shorten the races slightly (perhaps 75% of the current distances) so that the gap between the front and the back doesn't grow to over 1 lap? This would perhaps give the midfield a chance of victories, especially as we seem to have so many safety cars at the moment.

Other forms of racing even take this one step further by having a sprint and distance race (GP2 for example). Perhaps this could work in F1 too?

P.S. I would just like to add my hope that you will commentate at the last Silverstone Grand Prix this year. It would be great!

If a driver qualifies in, say, 6th position, but then is given a 5-place grid penalty to make them line up in 11th, are they allowed to change their race fuel load before the start of the race? Drivers in the top 10 are not allowed to change fuel load between quali 3 and the race, but this driver isn't in the top 10 any more, so can they do it?
