Tonight, we look at whether rising mortgage rates are bad or good for the economy.
We ask whether the news that one of Syria's deputy oil ministers has resigned from the government to join the revolt against President al-Assad is an indication that the regime is starting to fall apart, and have an interview with William Daniel the photographer who escaped from the city of Homs with fellow journalist Edith Bouvier.
As the deadline for Greek debt swaps passes, Paul Mason looks at whether a disorderly default is on the cards.
And it is International Women's Day. Focussing on the UK we debate whether the coalition has succeeded in honing its political message to female voters?

The latest crack in the Western fa莽ade over Syria comes in the form of leaked correspondence from Western private intelligence firm Stratfor, which reports that US-led NATO special forces have been operating inside Syria alongside armed opposition groups. Stratfor is closely aligned with Pentagon planners; indeed can be viewed as a private wing of the Pentagon. The document, disclosed by Wikileaks, cites US military sources discussing a campaign of destabilisation against the Syrian government of Bashir Al Assad, involving training opposition groups and deploying guerilla tactics, including assassinations. In other words, discussing a scenario that approximates to what is actually happening in Syria.

However, this is a good for the oil companies and speculators, if not for the general population. According to the Goldman Sachs method, there is a "speculative premium" (or private parasite tax) of about 20% per barrel of oil.
So IS the real aim of intervention security of oil supply? It's certainly not justice, as the murderous Assad regime has been tolerated and even encouraged for many decades now.

Not at all. It's just the 'unique' way what is allowed in, or what is kept out, gets decided. By the 大象传媒.
/blogs/bbcinternet/2012/03/bbc_news_facebook_app.html
Funny. Beyond them getting a bit sensitive of which parameters of social media embedding in complement to 'news' reporting, I simply asked why some comments were deemed on-topic whilst others get 'referred' before anyone sees them to refer, and the 'relevant team' gets dispatched to sanitise the spill. And they wonder why folk take page grabs as the 'most trusted' thing appears more and more something printed in internal self-conviction than comprehensive external acceptance.

With their spring conference approaching, Mr Clegg apparently thinks that the Lib-Dems should "move on". But his idea of moving on is for his members to accept that it is ok for him to be in an "open relationship" with his party, shafting them whilst continuing to betray their trust by his unprincipled dalliance with Mr Cameron.

It is clear that Mr Clegg has not repented of his transgressions. If they care about anything other than the trappings of power, Lib Dem members have a choice: get rid of him*, or vote with their feet.
Sadly, from what I've seen, most party members regularly opt for the "triumph of hope over experience".

In the west, "glass ceilings" remain the issue-of-choice of bourgeois feminism. How many women who "make it" in politics speak out against the machine, reaching down to women left behind? How many resist the addiction of vanity to power and the media? How many use their platforms, to analyse and expose the psychopathic militarism and its industries of death and lies that contaminate our political, cultural and media life and are the source of so much violence against women in stricken, faraway countries, if not against women at home? Who spoke out against Julia Gillard's junket to Israel in the wake of the massacre of 1400 people in Gaza, mostly women and children, and her unctuous support for their killers?

If you are looking for a reason for the attack on silver this past week just look at the gold cartel鈥檚 net short position, that rose from 160,000 contracts on 12/31/11 to 229,000 just a week ago. The total net silver short rose from 14,000 to 39,000 an increase of 178% as silver rose 30%. Silver was on its way to break $40.00 and gold $1,800.00, and something had to be done or the criminals were about to lose control and a lot of money.

Dogged by conspiracy theories, Freemasons insist theirs is a modern, open organisation. But can this male-dominated body cast off its secretive image and win over a sceptical public? Today they are associated with secret handshakes and alleged corruption in the police and judiciary.

As one too often removed from commenting not so much on the factual basis of what I share, but the fact that there are those who don't like dealing with them, might I ask the basis for that statement?
I'm all for the 大象传媒 facilitating debate, and all opinion that may be brought in to support opinions, but often I do wonder at what they are comfortable with vs. what not.
Whilst any innocent life lost is a tragedy, these numbers seem to matter to some in a rather gruesome tit-for-tat box ticking exercise.
So I hit google to try and find out. Not too helpful for once, as the propagandists all round seem to be as active as they are skilled at SEO.
So I'll simply settle for one, hopefully more impartial than the rest...
'...some 1,300 Palestinians lives were lost, many civilians.
Mostly... to many. Seems, at best vague, but also a trend.
I also wonder, in such conflicts, beyond those placed or willingly walking in front of those who are shooting, who these days is a combatant and who not, especially when some do not feel the need to wear uniforms.
I also note.. 'the fact that rockets are still falling on Israeli soil' and, for balance... 'If the leaks to the Israeli media are any guide, the country's military planners are now busying for scenarios for attacking Iran - not Gaza.'
On what I read of late, I do wonder who best to rely on for my 'information'.

I know a lot of women - I even married one - but I find most are happy at home in the kitchen or wiping the dust of the marble fire surrounds that are scattered about the house they are in. Here the thing about feminism: It was funded by the Rothchilds in the 70s to increase the working base of the population which inturn increased the banking depositer numbers and also increased the tax intake for govt..that was always their plan, unshackle the women from the kitchen sink and enslave them to the system of work and tax. This was all done under the guise of freedom for the women. Today women work long hours, juggle home life with children. The knackard husband, often times finds he has to take up the slack because wifey decides to work less hours because she feels guilty leaving little Norman and Margaret at the day care (which is expensive). Result is constant low level anxiety, fear and general unhappinies (at best). This also explains why women are constantly too tired for sex. Feminism was just a banking/govt ruse to enslave 50 odd percent of the population. They then put chemicals in the water to make them stupid - an easy thing to do and nobody noticed..then they turned them into consumers with credit cards and easy access to overly priced houses. And thats why I blame women for the mess we are in today.
