Blairwatch 3
Following earlier comments from and , Frank Dobson says that the reshuffle will be like rearranging the deckchairs, or the ship's officers, on the Titanic (watch the interview here).
We need, he said, the party to be under new management.

Could this be labours night of the long knives? Seems they're getting blunter and blunter about Blair as the night goes on.
Well if Westminster is now the Titanic, perhaps that would explain the power outages?
....The lights flickered there too!
And here's me thinking the plug would be pulled on TB
Do you think he still holds a grudge for being put up as the stalking horse against Ken (Ill get the money off you some way US embassy) Livingstone....
And as the night goes on, the numbers next to the Tory + and Labour - increase slowly...
The higher they get, the blunter those knives are going to get.
That is a terrible metaphor. This administration is not sinking. This administration is soaring. If anything, they are rearranging the deck chairs on the Hindenburg!
I really think he might be going!
I think hes gonna get taken down!
"Blairwatch", a clever pun on The Blair Witch Project...which consisted of people running around in the pitch dark with torches.
Sound familiar Nick?
Just what Father and I were chatting about a few hours ago @ rearranging the deckchairs! 'new' Labour strike one as a party that doesn't realise it is sinking. We both got that impression whilst watching Margaret Beckett on Question Time. Also, do all Labour candidates just spout the same old 'nine days' rubbish?
Ken Dobson, Nick Brown, Martin Salter the list is growing. Where is Gordon Brown by the way? What part of the world is he saving at the moment?
Its good to see that one of labours MPs has finally stood up and said it...although Dobson has hardly held back his criticism, for someone to speak his mind so openly is a great thing to behold, and I hope it instills more to follow suite.
Didn't the just say the same thing about the rearrangements in the US Administration staff??
Either it's a bizarre coincidence or Dobson's been stealing his put-downs from someone else..
Just heard Gordon Brown, as usual, no answer to any of the questions, just a monologue about all those wonderful servants of the people!! The Labour party's spin makes Hurricane Katrina look like a gentle breeze!!
Interesting to listen to Frank (he's my MP) but in this case I suspect he's a little bit wrong.
In my case I voted for the local liberal democrat candidates, they really seem to want my vote.
I think I had three or four leaflets through the door from the local liberals, who seemed to carefully target our local ward rather than the more generic labour material. They were the only ones to knock on the door and recently I've been working from home so the odds of me being in have been good.
They also produced individually targetted election material with what looked like handwritten envelopes (but with printed inserts) and I saw the candidates doing the hard bit and walking the streets locally.
I suspect there have been some elements of "kick the bums out" going on but if I'm being honest my only real local complaints with Camden has been the size of the tax bills. I did feel like the local labour party weren't trying in my ward and if someone is prepared to put the effort in to get my vote I'll give them a chance.
Watching from Rural France, makes me glad I left the UK to retire here. Being lead by such a trecherous "head Honcho" makes me long for the day when GORDON gets the Job. I may even come back.
