Cheers for the nice online coverage (blog and tv). Can't resist it even though I have to read about analysis of variance for class tomorrow here at Harvard in the US. Actually, what better way to learn about statistics and confidence intervals than follow election night and the result predictions!

What is Tessa Jowell talking about? Labour running an engaging campaign? I heard little if anything from the labour candidate in our ward, fitting then that he lost his seat to an independant by a huge margin.

Also, she missed the poll on the NHS, I do hope Mr Vine will show us again at somepoint, just so she knows.

I guess I'm not the only one watching you Nick avidly for our next "unofficial" update from the studio floor! How many Mars bars have lost their seats in their wrappers?!!!

Nick - there was an odd noise when David was speaking to Caroline Spellman. Did you disturb Tony King's slumber?

Did Tessa Jowl just say the longer Labour stay in Government the harder it becomes to stay in touch? That’s a line you really don’t want to hear from the Leaders of the Nation.

The wide shots with Nick caught hunched to one side, listening to the MPs, are very amusing. Nice to know we are part of the room. :-)

I'm intrigued by the desk you're all sat around. In closeup, it looks like there are lots of computer monitors underneath a central glass section for old Dimbles to look at, but the view from above shows a coloured centre, with no monitors visible.

Has somebody gone to the trouble of superimposing a tidy desk top on there? Throw your mars bar wrappers into the middle so we can see what happens!

I'm suprised Labour has done so well in Manchester. I live in Ardwick and, talking with people here, I thought the Lib Dems would do better than it appears they have. I only received one leaflet through the door (from Labour) and didn't get the chance to talk with any of the candidates.

I don't know how you manage it Nick! On live TV and blogging. Have you been on a ´óÏó´«Ã½ course in multi-tasking?

Why is an election (Crawley) being decided on the drawing of lots?

It's a complete farce and a disregard to the voting population. If the votes are equal then it should be controlled jointly, no-one democratically elected the tories, they selected the right envelope.

Either re-ballot or have joint control.

Please ask Tessa Jowell where gordon Brown has been for the last 10 days.

Tell her we are worried about him or some such rubbish if she doesn't seem keen to answer.

Nick, would you care to ask Simon Hughes the (pressing) question of why he's wearing a short-sleeved shirt. Is this the Lib-Dem version of the no-tie policy? He looks ridiculous!

On the issue of trust, the government and the media, can you remind Ms Jowell (Offshore morgages r us)that in a recent independent poll the more people trust the media than the government. What does that say about the government she represents.
