2009 Talk around
Season's greetings!
This time of the year can be more than a little hectic, so the podcast will hopefully provide a few minutes of sanity where you can tune out and wind down.
This week's edition is a little different, as a change of pace I sat around the table with two good friends and online addicts.
Richard Sambrook, currently the Director of the ´óÏó´«Ã½'s Global News division, responsible for leading the ´óÏó´«Ã½'s international news services across radio, television and new media.
Chris Vallance as you know is one of the original creators of Pods and Blogs and now reports for Radio 4.
As usual we had been discussing this and that about online activity and looking back over the year. There was a lot to talk about from protests, politics and online organised activity to pay walls, mashups and apps.
I'd like to say there was an open fire and some mince pies as we talked though parts of 2009 and thought about possibilities for the coming year. But frankly they would have been wasted as there was hardly a point to take a break with so much to discuss!
I'll be back with some future gazing next week - but for now, have a nice sit down and a cup of tea with the podcast. I hope that it brings back a few points of the year that were also interesting to you.
If you see something wonderful in the world of blogs, podcasts and more, let me know by dropping an email to podsandblogs at bbc dot co dot uk
Best festive wishes! - Jamillah
