Isn't that a contradiction? Oh, "almost".
Well, at 9am this morning here in South Oxon, it was dark & bucketing down with rain. In fact, it got so bad that the power went out to our office twice within 30 minutes. At least I'm now at home (not feeling well). I'd dread to think what it's going to be like on the roads this evening, given the amount of surface water I saw on the way back...
Thanks Eddie. I'm on my way.
It’s dull, dreary, and very wet here, too. I know you were just itching for that information.
Thunder! Lightning! Rain! Animals going past the window two by two (more or less...)
Is there some news you're not telling us Eddie?
Fearless - I do hope you haven't caught Aperitif's cold??
Not raining here yet, but I'm nipping out with Pluto now, before it does. Did you really want to know that?
It's also wet here in Bonnie Galloway. Good for most creatures, and a good excuse for frogging
Vaya con Gaia
ed
Teehee SSC - nail on the head again there :-)
Also ho-ho to Storm Chaser.
I expect it's coming my way. I know this because my washing line's full of every single towel I have. Works better than seaweed, every time.
Eddie, old boy,
You may need your umbrella.
Eastern parts of England will have showers and the risk of thunder. Western Scotland and north-west England will have heavy rain. Wales, south-west England and Northern Ireland will become drier and brighter after early rain.
Source: CEFAX,
Off to get wet.
TTFN.
Bright sun, blue sky here in Holland... Sorry.
Val (6) no, it's a bout of the Lurgi, I think. I had to go in to do a presentation to the management, then decided it just wasn't worth the hassle staying in the ofice for the rest of the day. So, here I am, answering emails & phone calls at home instead. At least I can listen to the whole of PM tonight:)
Don't be sorry J, be glad!
Meant to say - it's raining here now too.
OOps, I've been fast and offensive again.
There's thundery showers here today too. But it is 29c.
Hey, F.T. Fong (12)
29c - that's sultrier than Kate O'Mara.
Great blog!
It's 29 degrees here too, and sultry, because I'm drying my washing on the radiators.
Hi FF - hope you haven't go the same Lurgie as me because it means staying within shouting distance of somewhere convenient, if you see what I mean... Ewww
VP - as you can probably guess, I wish I had caught Appy's cold; 'twould be much preferable to this!!!
It's chucking it down here in Wiltshire, though the sun is making a big effort to win the battle.
Noah Muir - hope you're happy in the Ark :o)
"Thunder and Lightning"??
Was it very very frightening...?
mama mia mama mia - let me goooooo bee-elzebub has a devil putasideformeeeeeeeeeeeee
Hi CtP. I think it's similar, but a different strain (poor choice of words, I admit). I was in a similar predicament earlier in the day, then through the sweats and aches, now it's just lethargy. I hope this marks the end of it...
Oh, you go away for a few hours and everybody gets sick. Fearless, you too? Sending you and ChristPa big hug each and a soothing stroke of the forehead (sorry, can't think of anything more helpful). Would you like something comforting to eat when I do the chocolate run tomorrow? Or would that make it worse?
And - wait a minute! - how come you've both got it?! Have you been playing out togther without me? Jealous now :(
AndyCraSultry (17) - har de har! :)
Whisht (19), you are far too excited for a grey day such as this!
(Bl**dy awful here too, btw)

I got completely blown out in my rural hideway - so, no blogging all day.
Glad to be back on line.
Thank you, Appy:) I promise we didn't go out and play without you.... I hope it'll all be over by tomorrow. (That's the grottyness, not the.. well maybe I shouldn't go any further!!!!)
Okay, am I really the only one who wants Eddie to actually do the "When Budgies Go Bad" item tomorrow???
FF (24),
Yes, I heard that, wondered how to comment about it in the Baaaaaaaaaaa section. Because Vicky (my favourate), Tilly and Sophie never made it onto PM this evening, despite bribes being offered. Sophie giving her opinion on Straw, surely would have been worth a broadcast.
My mother's budgie is called Bruce. Seems to enjoy tunnelling, so best not let her (as it turned out) near any decking.
I think budgies go bad if you don't put them in the freezer after they've died. This is very important if it is someone else's budgie you are looking after. Looking forward to the programme tomorrow.
Ewww, Annasee!!
I went budgie jumping once. All my loose change fell out of my pocket.
Thank you Hillman for the laughter (28).
I don't think Budgie was "bad" per se - more led astray...
though I remember Charlie Endell wanted to do him harm....
