What do you reckon?
Regular frogger Roberto (Alvarez-Galloso) emails to say: "You cannot have a beach without the palm trees."
Should I attach this to the Beach every week?

Clearly, he has never been to Skegness.
Nice one, Rodrigo! Mind you, I know a number of beaches around which don't have palm trees, both here and abroad.... Maybe this can be one of the things about the beach each week. Does it have palm trees? How far up the beach is the high tide? What about rock pools? This opens quite a philosophical arguement about the existential properties of a virtual beach!
... or Godrevy, a beach without street lights but lots of [very pleasant] surfers in wetsuits.
As suggested before, I like , because it embodies the idea of a magical escape....

I'm sure Banksy wouldn't mind
That is a lovely beach, and thank you Roberto for sending it.
I think a different beach photo every week would be great ... much easier to tell them apart, then, and to remember to frequent the current beach rather than the previous week's.
Might also make it seem more real for those contemplating a frolic for the first time.
Next Christmas, we should definitely use Vyle Hernia's one.
Fifi
Oh, yes! Great idea, beach of the week.
Sand and palms this week, wide and sweeping next!
Sounds lovely.
Little Weed
Great photo, Roberto.
Thanks to Helen Sparkles for sending me to in the first place.

fifi - you are full of good ideas this week! I like your idea of a new beach photo every week, just wonder if they really want us emailing in loads more photos just at the moment......??!
Odd, but I visualised the water being on the other side...
Nice picture, though.
Tee heeeeee!
;o)
Fifi xx
me too Jason this sea is definitely on the wrong side!
I like the idea of a new beach photo every week, I'm sure quite a lot of us live near beaches. But can the PM team cope with a new beach photo every week. Mind you - they'll be lost when they've finished posting the WOYW pics so they might be looking for some more to do.
Just a thought; might the pic appearing at the top of the beach make it quite a trek for those on dial-up modems?
Perhaps we could have a VOYW gallery devoted to Beach related photos, such as Roberto's, or Fifi's camel photo, which Eddie could then link to at the top - then people can explore as and when.
Love the photo Roberto, but for one thing.....the intrusion of the motor car. My ideal would be a wide expanse of sand, access to be gained through a winding path through the palm trees. If you need to transport anything to the beach (those bottles can be heavy!) then let's provide those handy little trollies I came across at a lake in Maine. Love the idea of a new photo to go with the new Beach
Roberto you are such a darling. I love the picture. I love the way Roberto loves us and PM.

I agree with Deepthought about the speed of display, but I find it is the length of page that generally clogs me up when at home; hence my difficulty keeping up with Saddam.
One can always tell one's browser not to display graphics (very easy with Opera, and only about 8 mouse clicks with IE).
Fifi, Thanks for your kind thought. 'My' beach often appears on Cornwallcam.com with much better weather!
I think we might have to ask Banksy first though Ed. X
Vyle,
Do you really want to catch up with Saddam?
Salaam, etc
