Windows on Your World
is coming to a close. We need your photo by January 24th at the latest! As it is, we've received so many, the ´óÏó´«Ã½ has run out of storage space (true!) So the remaining photos are being stored .
Oh and gallery 33 has been fixed!
Rosemary Muntus (pic on the Flickr pages) - your husband is a dead ringer for my undergrad tutor from several years ago.
Oh no! We've broken the ´óÏó´«Ã½! Clearly Auntie needs an above-inflation increase in the licence fee to buy more photo storage space!
(And to give Eddie his well-deserved $275m pay-rise.)
The Serious Bit:
Celebrity Prime Minister Tony Blair asks whether Britain should continue as a major military presence in the world.
The Stainless Steel Cat says:
No. Absolutely not. If the UN asks for Peacekeeping Troops then of course we should fulfil our obligations in that respect, but that's it. No more aggresive expeditions, certainly not at the behest of foreign powers, allied or not.
Will all the photos be stored externally in the end, Eddie? And can we help the Beeb to categorise?
But hopefully still space on the blog for the odd pic to go up, as in Marc's beach.
Well the nice thing about the ones in Flickr is that you can leave comments and view some of them in high resolution
Oh boy! I hope you didn't get into trouble from the PTB about using up all the storage in the Beeb! I'm sure that we can persuade the government* to have a whip-round for a few 160Gb external Hard Drives that can be added into the system somewhere!
*Spot the obvious fallacy here!
Stainless Steel Cat: Here, here on both counts.
Perhaps he should have asked some of us a wee while ago?

Enjoying Adrian Mole and al Poodle's 'finest hour'!
at last...a newsletter that arrived before the news...PM was turning into a preview for what we were about to receive via e mail...may the Director make us truly thankful!
I see the Tories have a new website about money saving tips...the jokes are too obvious surely !!!! Talking of money...Mr Goldenballs says he isnt going to America for the money...it's about the football..so he says...will he donate all of his money (apart from enough to live on obviously) to the street kids of S. America? I mean, I work for the money, of course I do...least I am honest about it.
SSC (1) Well said.....I wish Blair's question was more than retorical, and that we could force him to take heed of our answer without having to wait for the next General Election. He so obviously takes it for granted that our answer would be yes....The man is so arrogant and out of touch. Should we start a petition....?! And
''war'' fighting....? As opposed to what other sort of fighting?
SSC (1 when I posted)
Auntie does NOT need an above-inflation increase. She just needs to cut out the background music from news & documentary programmes. Did you notice that the excellent series "Coast" (well, excellent apart from the muzak) had FIVE sound engineers? I did a better job on my own when I was in the 6th. Form.
Mr. Angry
WRT the picture on rt "When did you last see a water vole?" I note it came from Ellesmere Naturists.
No wonder the vole looks astonished. Must have been the flash.
Ooh. I've just had the malicious messgae warning. Does anyone know if it checks the nom-de-grenouille or the email address? You can see where I'm heading...
With respect to the unique way the bbc is funded and operates, I was not alone in suggesting that you put them all in your flickr account when you first wondered how you were going to store them all (Here... /blogs/pm/2006/12/well_we_are.shtml ). I know you read it because you responded. Perhaps it's time to give in to the wisdom of froggers.
Regarding the Cat's comments, can you do an article on what else we could have for our annual defence budget instead of some trident missiles and squaddies in body bags.
eg:
A 3p cut in income tax?
Private education for every dyslexic child?
No hospital closures?
Look at two of the most successful economies of the second half of the 20th century. Germany and Japan. Neither of whom were allowed to have vast spending on defence. Coincidence? I don't think so.
I think there mnay have been a bloggage, but I did say earlier that Flickr is better in a way as we can leave comments.
I love James Miller's one which looks like the inside of a clock radio.
I'd love to know what became of the casing though!
ed (6) Wasn't The Mole great!
Is that THE James Fleet No 86 on gallery 33?
(:-D
Ed (6) how or why did you manage that? Or maybe it wasn't you.
Dear all
I've nearly got there. I reckon there are only 83 photos still in the inbox plus a few that people have posted to be scanned. I'm handing them over to Marc. Thank you for sending them.
Lissa
Vyle,
Huh?
Salaam, etc

I would like all the pictures on Flickr because it is faster & we can leave comments; sorry aunty, but a fine task for the NCP's first day?!
Lissa! More pictures are appearingeven as I look - are they keeping you there until you've done them all??!! GMx
PS Was that you earlier?
So much easier to flik through the external site and then discover that mine's still not there :o(
I'm there! I'm actually, finally there!
Yey!
Did you notice the New Crown Prince initials also stand for a car park?
Val (23) was yours emailed or snail mailed? Mine was posted but on CD so hopeful might be in her last few. Should have time to re-send though before 24th Jan... :o( ...... :-) !!! GMx
Still haven't seen mine which was emailed at 17:24 on the day. I'm going to check thoroughly tomorrow in case I've missed it and then send again.
Vanity I know but it would be nice to have it included.
If it helps you to look in the right place for yours, Anne P, mine was emailed mid afternoon on the following day and made Batch No.25.
Hmmm, mine was sent from my phone because I couldn't download it to the pc to email it!. I did get a text back confirming my confirmation that they could print it, kind of thing. So here's hoping :o)
Well Marc, with a 'c', my lovely blog frog prince (not that I'm buttering you up or anything), but I have checked and double checked and since my photo is still not there I'm assuming that either it's in the last 83 (in which case you must have be loading them in reverse order of receipt) or it's somehow got lost.
So I've sent it again.
And now I'm going to bate my breath in anticipation....
xx
Anne P.
Hippie, and lovely it is too!. I decided (in the sensible kind of way that you do these things in the middle of the night) to start trawling through from the beginning again, in case I was doing them an injustice, and I'm sure I saw you in gallery 11 as well?
Mine STILL isn't there! Boo hoo......
